LENGLEN'S PROFITS

HALF GONE IN INCOME TAX

(Received 4th February, 2 p.m.)

WASHINGTON, 3rd February. A Treasury official declared that Mile. Lenglen would probably have to pay 10,000 to 15,000 dollars American income tax, if she had earned 100,000 dollars, as reported. This, in addition to 40,000 dollars, the expected French levy, would take more than half her total revenue from the American tour.
