BERLIN, 23rd January. A forger,. Adolf Moritz, many times obtained release from gaol as the result of swallowing spoons in preference to hunger-striking. The authorities thought to thwart him by providing giant spoons with special long handles. Moritz is again ill, and four spoons are missing. An X-ray examination showed that he swallowed tEe handles. The authorities are performing an operation, after which Moritz -will bo charged with stealing prison property.
