Barrettiiennard, Mr. Cecil Kellaway, and seventy other artists, -will present for the first time to playgoers of Wellington the successful comic opera, "Katja," which has broken all known records in Sydney, Melbourne, and Auckland. "Katja" owes its wonderful triumphs to the fact that its music is much above the average one expects in musical comedy. Its comedy is genuinely humorous, it lends itself to beautiful stage settings, and its gorgeous frocking is oSe of its outstanding features. Miss Marie .Burke is unquestionably one of the best and most popular comic opera artists. She is the possessor of a charming stage presence, a pleasing and attractive personality and a soprano voice above the average one expects to hear in musical comedy Ihe comedy element is in the hands of Mitt. .Barrett-Lennard, a noted London li K ht comedian.and Mr. Cecil Kelleway, who has proved himself one of the finest character actors. Miss Babette Odeal, a young English soubrette and dancer, will make her nrsfc appearance. Mr. Herbert Browne, the young Australian lyric tenor, will take the important singing part, and Mr. Noel JJamton, a London artist, will make his nrst appearance here.
