TO-DAY'S EVENTS

The weather has played very fair for the Wellington Kacing Club, and although yesterday and this morning were dull and threatening, there was nothing forbidding about the weather as this morning wore on. Accordingly a good average attendance at Trentham to-day . witnessed the conclusion of one of the most interesting meetings' of the Wellington Bacing Club.

This morning it was learned that there was no inquiry into the improvement .. shown bj- Star Stranger in the Eaeing Club Handicap at Trentham on Saturday as compared with his.Wellington Cup'effort.
