MAGISTRATE'S COURT
Police- cases in the Magistrate's Court to-day were dealt with by Mr J H Salmon, S.M. For being an idle and disorderly person with insufficient lawful means of support Ju-edenck Wilson, a labourer, aged 55' was sentenced to one month's imprisonment. He has about thirty previous convictions, most of them for drunkenness. Leonard Stanley Wilkins, a steward who deserted from the Mataroa, was convicted and ordered to forfeit the amount ot wages due to him. .
