ACCIDENTS IN AUCKLAND

AUCKLAND, This Day.
The latest return of traffic accidents prepared discloses that 280 collisions between vehicles occurred in the . city and suburbs during the last quarter of 1926. Seventy-nine persons were injured, and there wore eleven deaths. An average of three accidents a day were reported, to the police, a This reveals a more serious position than earlier in the year.
The accident statistics compiled over six months from Ist March to 31st August showed an averages of fifteen accidents a week. There was a total of 403 collisous, or just over 200 a quarter, which compares unfavourably with the figures for the last quarter.
