FRIENDLY SOCIETIES' PICNIC.
■ Members of the- Wellington Friendly Societies' Council, at a: special meeting at which Bro. F. J. Jones presided, decided to hold a combined friendly societies' picnic at Karori Park on. Easter Saturday, 16th April. Such picnics used to be held here annually, and it was for the purpose of reviving the custom that the meeting was held. The following committees were set up:—Sports and grounds, Bros. Travers, A.0.F., Griffiths,. A.0.F., - ; Pearce, 8.U., 0.0 .F.,- Jones, 1.0.0.F:i Carr, A.0.F., and Sister Sergerit, 1.0.0. F.; transport, Bros. Miller, 1.0.0. F., and Twort, Tramways; refreshments, Brosi Kraft, M.U., 1.0.0. F., Hodgson, . 1.Q.E,.: Jones, 1.0.0. F., and Sisters Wheeler, Turner and Shepherd, 1.0.0. F.; advertising, Bros. Hall, A.0.F., - Ingham,' TJf.A.OJD., Twbrt, Tramways, ; and^ Rudkin, 1.0.0. F.; postponement, Bros. Jone3 and Miller, Friendly Societies'.'' Council.
