BARMAT BANK FRAUDS
TRIAL OPENS IN BERLIN.

The trial has opened of three brothers, Julius, Solomon, and: Hermann Barmat, who were arrested"* two years ago on charges of fraud against the Prussian State Bank. It is alleged that hy aoi~. rupting officials they obtained credits totalling £750,000 during the inflation period. Nino others are accused of bribery and fra/cl in connection with the affair. The indictment against the Barcii/s covers 650 typewritten folios and over a hundred witnesses are to be called.
