BRITANNIA THEATRE
"Off the Highway" and Ken Maynard in "Senor Daredevil" are being screened at the Britannia Theatre for the last time to-night. Commencing to-morrow, Constance Talmadge in "The Duchess of Buffalo" will be the feature. This rollicking romance of a beautiful American dancer who becomes the toasted favourite of the Russian ruling class, gives the vivacious star ample scope. "Love's Whirlpool" is the other attraction. It shows the tender spots of a crook's heart in a story that is interspersed with thrills, mystery, and romance. James Kirkwood, in the part of the crook, seeks to injure the man who sent his younger brother to gaol. Aided and abetted by his wife (Lila Lee) he goes far to accomplish his object, till his wife's better nature overcomes all thoughts of revenge, and eventually converts him to a better man. The supports are excellent.
