INNINGS.

SYDNEY, »llth January. In the Sheffield Shield match, South Australia, iv the second innings, has six wickets down for 347 (Schneider 146, A. Richardson 30, V. Richardson 55, Alexander 20, M'Kay 49, Lee not out 22). The weather was fine and hot, and the wicket sound. It was" a day of sound, but slow and dreary,':-.batting. New South "Wales did not shine, to any extent in the field, a good many misses being recorded.- All tho bowling talent was tried out against tho solid defonce. Schneider's innings was a model of patience and slowness. He batted for five hours two minutes, the first twenty runs taking one hour twenty-one minutes. A. Richardson was plodding, and> V. Richardson patchy and plodding. In the first innings South Australia I made 345 and New South Wales 198.
