KENT TERRACE
READY ,fOR ROYAL VISIT? MAYOR SAYS HE THINKS SO. - Questioned regarding the progress of the Kent terrace work, and whether it would be ready for the visit of the Eoyal party in March, the Mayor (Mr. C. J. *B. Norwood) said to-day that he thought it would, be ready, andithat, though there might be a difficulty of getting things to* grow at that time of the year, the servants of the City Council would manage to have the new work looking quite respectable .befora their Royal Highnesses arrived here."
"It is undoubtedly the City Council's wish," he said/ "to have the whole of the work completed by the time of the Royal visit, and there is every reason to believe that .this wilL be done. Horticulturists .know'that.',it' 1 is not a time of the year when suitable plant decorations can be moved without a great deal of care, but the City Council possesses valued servants who realise the position, and "while we do not expect to accomplish the impossible, we should be able to do sufficient "to please residents who possess a .pride in their city and desire it to look at its best on that great occasion."
