The mystery of the Prince of Wales's recent request for the. Maoris', names andinitials is revealed. , The Prince has had a set of medals struck, which he has handed to Mr. Coate's'for individual' presentation. He has also- given Mr. Coates. a Shield, for. annual competition by Maori teams in New Zealand.

The Maoris laid a wreath of irises and orchids on the Cenotaph,- with a Maori inscription. ' >

The majority of the Maoris sail by the "Marloeh from Liverpool on 7th January; play in Vancouver on 29th January, and they will visit Niagara and the Canadian Rockies, returning by the Tahiti from San Francisco on 9th February.
