The.bulk 6f the uniforms, costumes* fireworks, and effects for the New Zealand 1927 military tattoo arrived by the Mahana at Auckland on 2nd December, and a further consignment by the Rotorua last 'week. On. examination it was found that certain costumes ordered were missing. These wiere at once cabled for, and are now being sent out by the lonic, which is due to arrive in New Zealand on 7th Februaiy. The Auckland military tattoo will be kheld during the last. week of the present month, the 'Wellington tattoo from Srd to Bth March inclusive (thus including the dates of the Royal visit), and the Christchurch tattoo during the -first week in April. The costumes sent by the lonic will thus be available for the Wellington and Christehureh. displays only. The uniforms and; effects are the same as those used at the Wcmblqy military tattoo, which -was 'one of the finest features of the Exhibition.
