KORTLANG'S THOUSAND
B. J. Kortlang, tho Wellington representative, has been a- prolific rungetter in representative " cricket, and by his effort against Canterbury on Saturday, he joins the ranks of those Who have scored * over one thousand runs in Plunket Shield cricket. . He has the additional distinction of the best average among all thoso players who have had more than a' season of Plunket Shield cricket. ■ In ; nineteen visits tp the crease he has scord 1026 runs. Ho has been twice unbeaten, his score'of 214 not out being the highest but one on record. His average for Shield cricket, is 60.35.
