LONDON, 30th October. While in New York recently Mr. P. Selig (Chriat'church) met Mr. F. N. Chamberlain (formerly of the Christchurch Tramways). Mr. Chamberlain is now connected with a big business enterprise in New York dealing with with wool and pelts. Mr. Henry Simms, the eldest son of the late Mr. W. H. Simms, a former well-known resident of Christchurch, died in London on 4th, October. Mr. Simms was born at Albury, on the Canterbury Plains, where his father was at that time a squatter, but afterwards moved to Limpsfield and then to Christchurch. Por some years he had been in bad health, and three weeks ago he underwent a very severe operation in the hospital. An old Christchurch friend was witn him to the end. Mr. Simms leaves a son and a daughter by his first wife. Tho son is settled in Queensland, and the daughter is tho wife of Mr. Murray, architect, of Christchurch. In 1921 Mr. 'Simms married his third wife, a Swiss lady, who survives him.
