DAIRY CHEQUES
£2j000,000 CHRISTMAS BOX.
According to careful estimates made by the Dairy Board, the amount of money put into circulation on 20th December, just prior to Christmas, in dairy districts will be somewhere about £2,000,000 sterling. This will be in respect of deliveries of cream and milk to butter and cheese factories throughout November, and is based upon the advances ruling for that month, which have since been increased. ; Tho manufactures for November totalled 10,251 tons of butter and 10,055 tons of cheese. Allowing for .the known ratios of quality bearing differential payments,'tho aggregate advance on miajmum figures would be £1,698,576, but as market prospects have improved, many factories from their own resources will be able to pay out more than minimum figures, so that, the moneyput into circulation, on 20th December will certainly exceed £1,750,000, and willVprobably go close to £2,000,000 sterling.
