HOMING PIGEONS
The Wellington Homing Pigeon Society held its weekly race last Saturday from Opua/ a distance of 417 miles. There were eight lofts, with 37 birds competing. Owing to rough weather, the first bird arrived about midday of the following day. The results were:—Mr. J. H. Clark's b.c.c. 40, W.,1925, 1; Mr. R. Lamb's bco. 241, W., 1924, 2; Mr. G. Wilson's bee. 28, W., 1922, 3; Mr. C. Egginton's b.cc. 147, W., 1924, 4. The race next Saturday will be an interval race from Auckland.
