WALLACE STBEET TEAMWAY WOBK.

The case in which William Alfred Choto claimed compensation from the Wellington City Corporation, alleging that his property had been detrimentally aifectcd through a sunken road being made in front of his hoiwo when,trainway works were carried out in Wallace street, was concluded in the Supreme Court yesterday. Mr. Justice Ostler presided, and had with him as assessors, Messrs. C. C, Crump and J. M. Dale. Mr. B. Kennedy appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr. J, O'Shea for tho Corporation. '

Oa the undertaking of the Corporation to perform certain grading and metalling work, the Court awarded the claimant £235, and made an order that tho parties'pay their own costs and assessors' fees.
