Coylo (secretary oi the "Wellington Hospital Board), who has resigned as from 31sfc inst., and who lias been appointed secretary-superintendent of tho Newcastle Hospital, Now South Wales, leaves for Sydney by tho Uliinaj.roa on 14th .January. Mr. A. Gtaham,' senior member of tho teaching staff at the Wellington Technical Collage, and chief instructor of the building trades department, was farewelled yesterday: on the occasion of his/ retirement. Mr. Graham has becu a member of the Technical College staff for twenty-five years, and a rtributc to his ability and personality was paid by the director (Mr. J. H. Howell). Mr. Graham was the recipient of presentations made on behalf of the building studeDts, and of the staff. - Tho Ttev. O. M. Stent, Vicar of Eastbourne, who has been appointed to the charge of Khandallah parish, was, with Mrs. Stent, tendered a farewell by his late parishioners on Monday ovening. Addresses sippreciatory of < Mr. Stout's work were deliverod by Messrs. H. M. oJnes (Ma.yor .of Eastbourne), E. E. Mariley and Chittey (churchwardens), and Lewis and Budd. A musicp.l programme was given, and during the evening Mr. and Mrs. Stent were presented wij;h a wallet of bank notes and a canteen of cutlery. . Presentations, wore made yesterday by the headmaster of the Auckland Grammar School, Mr, J. Drummond,--on behalf of-himself and members of the staff to -three colleagues severing connection with the, school after many years' service, telegraphs "The Post's" Auckland correspondent.' Mr. N. A, Winter is retiring on superannuation, Mr. A. W. fehort has been appointed first assistant of the new. Takapuna Grammar School, and Mr. A. R. Ryder hap been ciioson for tho hoadmastcrship of the Kotorua H!igh School. To congratulate Brother Robert: Smith on his 70th year of membership, the Loyal Antipodean . Lodge, -Manchester Unity Order of Oddfellows,- hold a special meeting last evening. Mr. Smith, whose father was ono of tho original members of tho lodge, wan born tit Newcastle-on-Tyno SS years ago. Be joined, the lodge in 185o", and, in addition "to having held every office, has been District Warden for 40 years. Mr. Smith received numerous congratulations, and various toasts, interspersed by musical;items, were honoured. The Past District Grand Master (Bro. A. C. Blair) presided over the gathering, which included a largo iiumber of lady friends of the members of the lodge.
