DESPERATE BANDIT
WANTED FOR SEVERAL MURDERS.

NICE, 9th December.
The bandit, Ballastro, for whom the Fascist militia and also an infantry, battalion are scouring the terror-strick-en countryside, boarded a train bound for France after shooting and severely, wounding a policeman. The authorities are in active search for the bandit and his gang, who are suspected of being the murderers of the young Fascist, Nino Cavarino, at Ventimigilia, ■ two carabinieri at Milan, and the two gendarmes, Sommaschino and Gerby, whose bodies were found at Camporotra, while the funeral of Cavarino was in. progress. . .
