THREE FRESH CHARGES ;
Charges of having used an'instrument or some other means with intent to procure a miscarriage on three women were made against Elizabeth.^ Ann Wylie, alias _ Nevill, in the Supreme Court to-day, before Mr. Justico Ostler.
Mr. P. S. K. Macassey prosecuted, and Mr. T. M. Wilford, with him Mr. J. F. B. Stevenson, appeared for the accused
Evidence of instruments having been useel on them by Mrs. Nevill and of miscarriages having taken place was given by three women witnesses.
Lewis Mitchell O'Shea gave evidence, that ho paid either £30 or £32 to Mrs. Hargreaves in respect of one witness.
Elizabeth Hargreaves stated that in consequence of something told her by O'Shea, she went to 150, Queen's Drive, Lyall Bay. She saw Mrs. Nevill, and asked her if she could do anthying for ono of the witnesses, and paid Mrs. Novill £30.
To Mr. Stevenson, witness said that she could not swear that Mrs. Nevill was the woman with whom she had transactions, but in reply to Mr. Macassey she said that to the best of her belief it was Mrs. Nevill.
Eric Ernest Colvin said he had been keeping company with one witness, and was responsible for her condition. He visited Mrs. Nevill, and p"aid her £25.
