DE LUXE THEATRE.
The picturisation o£ one of the stagey greatest successes, "A Trip to Chinatown, is taking place again this evening at the Do Luxe Theatre. The humorous plot, if such it can be dignified, tells of a hypochondriac and his constant idea that lie is suffering from some incurable disease which is likely to .bring about his domiso at any moment. The cast includes Margaret Livingstone as a buxom widow, Earle Foxe as the man of many disorders, and J. Farrell MaeDonald as the sly old uncle of the "invalid," who knows exactly how his nephew's complaints should be handled, and is responsible, with the hero, for much of the hilarity. An Oriental touch is given to the cast by the1, inclusion of Anna May Wong and George Kuwa, who are responsible for several quaint comedy episodes. This atmosphere of the East is added to by a prologue ot invisible singers, and some really delightful decorations, in which Chinese lanterns are used to great effect. The other pictures on the programme are varied and interesting, and the music by the De Luxe ■Orchestra, under the direction of Miss A. Bryers, has been carefully selected.
