SWIMMING
NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIPS,

CHBTSTCHUBCH, This Day! At a meeting of the Canterbury Centre of the New Zealand Swimming Association, the president stated that the cost of sending a team to tho New Zealand championships at Auckland in January would be about £100. At present tho centre had only £40 in hand, and it was necessary that a move be made by which they could raise the balance. Ho considered that it would not be a difficult matter, and thought that the centre could not do better than to make a public appeal for funds. He moved that all the clubs open subscription lists and that stress bo laid on tho urgency of procuring funds as early as possible.
