WHERE ACTION IS NEEDED

Several correspondents have lately drawn attention to the traffic dangers ot C4lasgow street. It is narrow, steep, and winding, and altogether a trap for both motorists and pedestrians. In parts it is scarcely wide enough for two

motors to pass, and pedestrians must seek what safety they can by squeezing against the fence on one side or tho bank on the other. With wide motorbuses using tho road the risks of accident are greatly increased. As a part of the most direct approach to Kelburn, used to a great extent also by residents in other western suburbs,-this road is badly in need of improvement. While the City Council has funds and attention to spare for traflic problems in Kent and Cambridge terraces, it may fairly be urged to consider at once this dangerous one-way street which carries two-way traffic.
