LOCAL MANAGEMENT COMMTTTBK.

The Wellington Cricket A_noci_,_on_i Management Committee met last evening, Mr. C. G. Wilson presiding. Others present were: Messrs. R. S. Johnston, H. M. M'Girr, H. J. Buck, A. Ronaldson, IX. M'Kenzie, C Drummond, W. R. Bock, L. J. Brabin, W. J. R. Christophersen (treasurer), and A. Varney (secretary). A request was received from the Canterbury Cricket Association that the Wel-lington-Canterbury Plunket Shield match, to be played at Christchurch, be commenced on Friday, 31st December, instead, of on New Year's Day. In considering the matter, members pointed out that the Wellington-Otago match at Wellington wai being commenced on Christmas Day, and as it would possibly occupy four days, the Wellington team would have a rush to fulfil its engagement at Christchurch. It was decided to adhere to the arrangement that the Canterbury-Wellington match commence on New Year's Day. Apnreciation of the hospitality extended to the new Auckland^ coach, E. Bowley, on his arrival in Wellington from England, was expressed in a letter from the Auckland Cricket Association. SENIOR FIXTURES. Senior matches to be commenced next Saturday will be played on the following grounds:— University v. V.M.C.A., Kelburn Park No. 1 (first day), Basin Reserve No. 1 (second day). AVellington v. Midland, Anderson Park No. 2 (first day), Basin Reserve No. 2 (second day). Hutt v. Petone, at Petone. Thorndon v. Kilbirnie, at Kilbirnie. Old Boys v. Institute, at Hutt.
