RECORD ENTRY AT AUCKLAND

(By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening Post.") AUCKLAND, This Day. The first wool sale of the season in Auckland attracted a record entry for a first sale. The number of bales to hand is approximately 17,900. Catalogues were supposed to close on Saturday, but as the flock owners had great difficulty in getting their clips shorn owing to tho wet weather, tho brokers decided to accept all wool that arrived during the week-end. The influx was so great that it was impossible yesterday to obtain more than approximate figures of the arrivals at various stores. The sale was fixed for Friday, but it is practically certain it will start on Thursday evening to enable all catalogues to be cleared, as the buyers are due to leave for Christehurch on Friday evening to prepare for the sale in the southern city on the following Wednesday.
