CARNIVAL AND TUG-O-WAR.

The tug-o'-war tournament and carnival at St. Francis's Hall, Hill street, is attracting large gatherings nightly, and the season promises to be a great success. In addition to tugs-o'-war, there are numerous other items of interest, including graceful dancing displays by Wellington teachers and military manoeuvres arranged by Mr. Joe Knowsley.
