TECHNICAL COLLEGE

MEETING OP GOVERNORS.

The Technical College Board of Governors met last evening, Mr. W. H. Bennett presiding. In connection with the linotype classes, which it is proposed to establish at the college, Mr. Bennett stated that a conference had been held at which representatives of the Newspaper Proprietors and Master Printers' Association were present. The parties had not been at one as regards the course of procedure of the classes, and it was eventually decided to obtain the syllabus from Auckland and Christchurch, where linotype classes are held, and to consider the matter at a further conference. Mr. C. H. Chapman. stated that the employees' union appreciated the position Mr. Bennett had taken up. The report made to the union was' received with approval.
