She will leave on Thursday for further loading at Timaru and Bluff, and is due back again on sth December. The motor-ship Thalatta, which arrived at Dunedin from Scandinavian porta, via South Africa, Melbourne, and Sydney, on Saturday morning, sailed from there last evening for Lyttelton to continue discharge of her cargo, THE PORT SYDNEY. Tho Commonwealth and Dominion Line advises that the Port Sydney li expected to arrive at Auckland from New York on Thuriday. From there she is to proceed to Napier and Wellington, and is due here on 3rd December. ARAWA DELAYED. The Shaw, Savill Company has received a. radio message from the Arawa stating that bad weather is being experienced, and that she is not expected to arrive at Auckland until Thursday. SnOAL GROUND KBPORTBD. Captain A. Selby Dalgleish, master of the Kaiapoi, reports having obtained a sounding of 11 fathoms fine sand with a sprinkling of shell when making Westport from the westward in thick weather on the 29th October, 1926. The position of shoal sounding is given by Captain Dalgleish as Cape Foulwind lighthouse bearing south 80deg. east, ujagnetic. distant 16 miles. Captain Dalgleish further reports having obtained a least sounding of 18 fathoms showing a bottom of a similar nature with Cape Foulwind lighthouse bearing east J north, magnetic, distant 16 miles.
