Tahiti arrived in the stream at 5.20 o'clock this morning from San Francisco, via Papeete and Karotonga, and was berthed a few minutes before 9 o'clock at No. 1 North Queen's Wharf. She left San Francisco at 11 p.m. on the 3rd November with a large cargo of general merchandise and a full passenger list, and line weather and smooth seas were encountered all the way to Papeete, where she arrived at 8 a.m. on 13th November. A largo quantity of cargo was discharged at this port, and she sailed at 7 p.m. the same day for Rarotonga, arriving there at 10 a.m. on 15th November. Cargo was1 discharged here, and fruit taken In, and she sailed again at midnight for Wellington. A slight swell was experienced between Rarotonga and this port.
