PERSONAL MATTERS

The Minister of Lands (the Hon. A. D. M'Lcod) returned this afternoon from the Auckland district.

Mr. 11. H. Sterling, who arrived in Wellington yesterday, returned North this afternoon.

A Press Association message from Christchurch reports the death of Mr. Alexander Ferguson, formerly manager of the National Bank.

Mr. W. Parry, M.P. for Auckland Central, who has been in Wellington for some days, left for the North last night.

Mr. John Fuller, formerly a resident of Wellington and a member of the City Council, is at present visiting here on business connected with The Fuller Theatres. He will return to Sydney on Friday next.

Sir Truby King, who met with an accident on Thursday while showing a party of visitors over the Karitane Hospital, is progressing very satisfactorily. The result of the X-ray examination will not be known until late to-day, but in the meantime Sir Truby is not confined to his bed. Lady King, who was seriously ill two weeks ago is also much better.
