QUEEN'S THEATRE.
Creepy, myterious, and entertaining describes "The Bat," which opens at the Queen's Theatre after a very successful week at the De Luxe Theatre. The plot fluctuates from a skyscraper, where a big robbery is committed, to a bank, which is also looted, to a country estate tenanted by a matter-of-fact spinster, where all the mysterious proceedings culminate in a nerve-racking series of startling adventures. The mischief all comes directly out of the evil activities of a master criminal, "The Bat," of whose identity no one has any certain idea. There are vivid "doings" around the- house, and at every turn, in a series of bewilderments. Jewel Carmen, Jack Pickford, Louise Fazenda, Emily Fitzroy, Robert M'Kim, Eddie Gribbon, Tullio Carminati, Andre ,Beranger, Charles Herzinger, Lee Shumway. Arthur Houseman, and Sojin, Oriental character actor, are among the players in the all-star cast. There is an excellent supporting programme, which includes an interesting gazette and a picturesque scenic film.
