(United Press Association.—Copyright.) WASHINGTON, 17th November. That the spectre of a Mexican-foster-ed hegemony intervening between the United State, and the Panama Canal

has thrust itself into American and Mexican relations, which already were ■; trained, came to light on Wednesday with an appeal by Senor Adolfo Diaz, the new President of Nicaragua, for American intervention to restore peace in Nicaragua, and formed

a warning by the Secretary of State (Mr. F. B. Kellogg) that "interference from outside sources" in Nicaraguan political affairs was viewed with concern in Washington. Senor Diaz, immediately upon his recognition by the United States on Wednesday, songht American aid against a Liberal revolution supported by Mexico.
