COMMERCIAL TRAVELLERS' CHOIR

The final concert of the season of the Commercial Travellers' Male Voice Choir will be given at the Concert Chamber, Town Hall, to-morrow evening under the conductorship of Mr. H. Temple White. The choir has, in addition to its ordinary weekly practices, given a number of performances at the various hospitals and other institutions recently; and it is expected that the added finish gained at these concerts will do much to place tomorrow night's programme above criticism, artists engaged are Mr. Leon de Mauny, violinist, and Miss Nellie Adams, contralto, and soloists from the choir are Messrs. Harry Phipps, tenor, Will Goudie, baritone, and the Aeolian Quartette. Included in the items are an appropriate cantata, "King Olaf's Christmas," in which the solo work will be performed by Egerton Pegg, tenor, and Walter Marshall, bass, "Peaceful Slumbering on the Ocean," "As Torrents in Summer," "Hark, the Merry Drum," and "The Beleaguersd." Humour will be provided by "The Frog" and'"Laughing," and the singing of Handel's "The. Hallelujah Chorus." from "The Messiah," will bring the concert to a fitting conclusion. The choir will also sing, "The Long Day Closes," as a mark of respect to one of its most loyal supporters in the past, the late Mr. James Senile. Mr. Harold Whittle will play the accompaniments. The box plan is open at The Bristol.
