JEWESSES EXCLUDED

GOLF CLUB'S DECISION "NARROW, SNOBBISH BIAS." (United Press Association. —Copyright.) (Sydney Sun Cable.) (Received 16th November, 1 p.m.) LONDON,- 15th November. The "Jewish Chronicle," commenting on the decision of the Mid-Surrey Golf Club to veto the membership of Jewesses, said: "We see no reason for heroic protests and fretful regrets. It is not ■ the first time this has occurred in golf clubs, which are private concerns whoso members are entitled to determine, however senselessly, those with whom they shall bo associated. -The exclusion of Jews is not anti-Judaism in the sense of anti-Semitism, but is the result of a narrow, snobbish, social bias. ■
