Mr. John. Fuller will arrive in Wellington from Auokland to-morrow. Mr. G. Box, of the Humphrey Bishop Comedy Company, arrived from Sydney by the Ulimaroa to-day. Mr. D. G. Sullivan, M.P., was a passenger by the ferry boat from Lyttelton this morning. Major B. Miles, D.5.0., M.C., 8.N.Z.A., returned to "Wellington this morning from the South. The consecration of Archdeacon Cherriugtou as Bishop of Waikato has been definitely fixed for 12th December, states a Press Association message from Hamilton. After an absence of about fifteen years, Mr. Hugh J. Ward returned to the Dominion to-day from Sydney on a holiday of indefinite length. During his visit to New Zealand Mr. Ward intends making himself acquainted with the Dominion's hospitals, a subject in which he is keenly interested. A vote of sympathy with the relatives of the late Mr. James Doyle was passed at the annual meeting of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association last evening, members standing in silence. ■ Mr. B. W. M'Villy referred to Mr. Doyle as one of the old stalwarts, who was instrumental, about thirty years ago, in resuscitating amateur athletics. The death occurred recently" of Daniel Thomas M'lntosh, of Parnell, formerly District Engineer for the Bailway Department at Auckland, telegraphs "The Post's" Auckland correspondent. He retired about six years ago with 45 years of service to his credit. He is survived by a widow and one brother, Mr. 6. W. M'lntosh, general manager of the National Bank of Now Zealand, Wellington. A presentation of a handsome clock and salad bowl was made 'to Mr. B. Connop, the West Coast delegate, at last evening's meeting of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association, as a token of the esteem in whiel. he is held, and also recognition of his recent, marriage. The president (Mr. B. W. M'Villy), in making the presentation, congratulated Mr. Connop on tho fact that he had joined the ranks of the benedicts, and wished him and his wife long life and happiness.
