TO-NIGHT'S BOXING TOURNAMENT
A final reminder is given to boxing patrons of to-night's tournament at the Town Hall. Proceedings will commence at 7.45 with the amateur preliminaries, those engaged being Dixon v. Strange, Hoskins v. Jeffries, Stone v. Unvin, Cleverly v. Bavies (H.JI.S. Dunedin). .Excellent contests are promised. The principal contest,.between M'Carthy and Jamito, promises to be fast and exciting, and patrons of the sport will watch with interest M'Cavthy'h display to note if lie boxes up to his Australian reputation. The demand for scats has been heavy and a large audience is assured.
Tlic Railway Department's advertise ment in connection with tlie issue of cheap fares and train arrangements to the races at Levin on Saturday, 20th instant, appears in to-day's paper. The special train provided to and from Levin at a suitable hour for race patrons should be much appreciated.
