FIRE AT LOWER HUTT

+ Fire- destroyed a five-roomed house and its contents, owned and occupied by H. Pope, in Nai Nai road, Lower Hutt, shortly before 10 o'clock last evening. Although the Lower Hutt Fire Brigade was quickly on the scene, it was unable to check the flumes o«-'ng to the lack of water. The building was insured for £800 in the State Fire Office, but the contents were not covefed.
