Red agents operating in Shanghai have succeeded in causing a strike in the China Merchants Shipping Company, the largest shipping concern in Chinese waters, with the object of striking a blow at Sun Chuan Fang's means of transportation. The reason given for tha strike is the failure of the company to compensate the crew and victims of the riverboat Kianyung, which recently blew up at Kiukiang, killing twelve hundred soldiers and the crew.
