During f : week the Inter-Imperial Relations Committee sat twice, but contemplates further activities before reaching its , report stage. The Conference meets early to-mor-row to consider" the reports of the Economic Committee on standardisation and cool storage. Tho Economic Committee further dealt with matters in connection with the Imperial Shipping Committee, whoso valuable work in the past three years is fully recognised. It will fall to the Conference to decide what is to be tho Shipping Committee's future; whether its constitution shall bo changed into Canadian, Australian, and New Zealand units. The committees on overseas settlement lengthily dealt with migration, settlement, the cost of passages, assistance to women with a view of tho future improvement of fisting systems. The Premiers probably will visit Glasgow on "uth November to receive tho freedom of tho city, and may go to Ireland to receive shnilar civic honours.
