NEW ZEALAND TOUR.

When the question of the New Zealand cricket team's tour to England was mentioned at this week's meeting of the Wellington Umpires' Association, members indicated that. the proposal had their hearty support. The idea of giving practical support to the scheme by which it is proposed to finance the tour met with favour, and it was left to the hon. secretary (Mr. W. S. Hood) to communicate to all members the desire of the meeting that the association should do its utmost to assist the Cricket Council in its big undertaking.
