NO BEPLY FROM AUSTRALIA.

(By ' Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day.

At a meeting of the Council of the New Zealand Swimming Association last night, tho secretary reported that no reply had yet been received from Australia in confirmation of the arrangements for (the visit of the Australian lady champions, Claire Couldwell and Ettie Robertson, to New Zealand. A further cable had been sent requesting a reply, but a further week had passed without response. It was resolved to cable Australia again, and in the event of no reply being received by Saturday to cancel the invitation.
