AUCKLAND, This Day.

An accident, which occurred at the railway level crossing between Mahia and Takanini this morning, resulted in the death of Mrs. R. Tucker (27), a well-known Takanini resident. The deceased was found by a driver of a goods train at 7 o'clock. A doctor was informed, and the woman was taken to her home, a quarter of a mile distant, but expired shortly after. It is presumed that the deceased was struck by the 6.45 a.m. train from Papakura to Auckland. Nothing is known except that the deceased was seen in the vicinity 6i! the Takanini station about 5.30. She leaves a widower, a poultry farmer. There are no children.
