BAD FOR WOMEN

CHARLESTON CONDEMNED

MEDICAL OPINION IN FRANCE.

(United Press Association.—Copyright.) PAEIS, 2nd November.

A congress of two hundred professional dancers strongly condemned the Charleston and decided that it must be toned down. It was declared that women who danced the Charleston might never be able to become mothers. Medical experts were quoted in support of this view.

Dr. Variet, a well-known Paris specialist, also urged that women should be careful how they danced the modern steps. It Would be better for future generations if young girls avoided altogether dances with sudden violont movements.
