In the year 1302 John Eaton married Catherine Vanduzen, and Daniel Eaton, the former's brother, married Mary Ann Schevener, at Hamilton, Ontario. The descendants of these two couples now number 6200 odd, of whom all but 800 are living. It is the boast of this family that not one of its members has ever seen the inside of a gaol or a poorhouse.
