BRITAIN'S FINANCIAL POLICY
OUT OF HARMONY WITH NEEDS
PETITION PROMOTED TO PARLIAMENT.
(United Press Association.—Copyright.) - LONDON, 2nd November. Sir Oliver Lodge, Mr. H. G. Welis, Mr. J. St. Loe Strachey, and other pro- j minent men are promoting a petition to j the House of Commons urging an inquiry into the financial principles and policy of the country, in view of the fear of an industrial upheaval on a national scale and the alleged fact that, financial and banking organisations are failing to promote the interests of tho community. They point out that the fundamental lack of harmony between the country's needs and financial policy may be the cause of the existing industrial conflict.
