(By Telegraph.) (Special to "Tho Evening Post") CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The Waimakariri flood is subsiding slowly. The latest reports slate that the river has fallen several feet, and all the water is getting away well. Most of 4 the area that was flooded is free from wator, and all the roads are clear. Coutts Island road, which was covered by the main volume of the flood, haa been considerably damaged. The flood scoured deep channels in the sutface of the roads and left them in bad cos£t» tion. for tragic.
