MIRAMAR LADIES' CHAMPIONSHIP

YESTERDAY AFTERNOON'S COMPETITIONS.

A windy day lengthened the scores yesterday in the first round of the Miramar ladies' golf championship tournament, which will be decided by three rounds of medal play. The following are results of yesterday afternoon's competitions :— STROKE HANDICAP. Two ladies tied for the stroke handicap in the first division, Mrs. Foreman, 97-13-84, and Miss Carter, 98-14----84. The second division was won by Mrs. Dalgloish, 99-24-75. Tho following are the details: —Mrs. Dalgleish, 99-24-75; Mrs. Gavin, 102----20-S2; Mrs. Farr, 99-17-82; Mrs. Mills, 100-17-83; Miss Carter, 98-14-84; Mrs. Foreman, 97-13-84; Miss Petrie, 91-6----85; Miss V. Upham, 93-7-86; Miss Brandon, 92-6-86; Miss G. Upham, 99-13-86; Mrs. Weston, 93-6-87; Miss Lucas, 99----12-87; Miss Culling, 95-6-89; Mrs. R. P. Ward, 99-10-89; Mrs. Stout, 97-8-89; Miss R. Murray, 106-15-91; Miss White, 110-17-93; Miss Achcson, 98-5-93; Mrs. Evison, 107-12-95; Miss Jervis, 98-3-95; Miss M. Ward, 103-7-96; Miss Chrystall, 98-1-97. BOGEY HANDICAP. The results of the bogey handicap in tho first division were:—Miss "V. Upham, all square; Miss Culling, 1 down; Miss Acheson, 2 down; Mrs. Weston, 3 down; Mrs. Foreman, 4 down; Mrs. R. P. Ward, 5 down; Mrs. Banks, 5 down; Miss Petrie, 6 down; Miss G. Upham, 6 down; Miss R. Murray, 6 down; Miss Seed, 6 down. In the second division, the winner was Mrs. Dalgleish, 2 -down, followed by Mrs. Cromb, 3 down; and Mrs. Gavin, 6 down. PUTTING COMPETITION. The putting competition w-s won by Mrs. W. E. A. Gill, with a score of 15. THIRD ROUND DRAW. The following is the draw for tomorrow's medal round: —9 a.m., Miss Culling and Miss V.
