W.M.R.A. OSMOND SHIELD

(By "Trigger.")

The third shoot of the 1926 season for the Osmond Shield took place last week, and some very good scores were registered. Nine teams competed—Brooklyn, Hutt, Aotea, South (2), Public Service, Featherston, Railway, Harbour Board. The-result was a 110 between Hutt and Brooklyn, with tho very fine score of 036 out of possible 700. These two toanis wIJJ shoot-off on a later date, tho night to bo mutually arranged. This shoot brings tho season for 1926 to a close, and it must, be voted tho most successful year ever enjoyed both numerically and for'good shooting. A good number of miniature riflemen are now shooting outsldo with the bin rifle at Trentham, and they will carry on. through the summer until miniature start 3 again. The following are the results of tho Osmond Shield ahoot, also the Postal match between Wanganui and Wellington, which tho latter won by a. margin of 12 points:—
