LODGE MEETINGS
The regular semi-monthly meeting of Wellesley Juvenile lodge, .No. 7, 1J0.0.F., SZ, was held last week, Bro. "J. H. O'Brien, N.G., presiding. There was a- large attendance One juvenile member was reported on sick list, and relative sick draft was pasted. Two juvenile candidates and three adult members were initiated. " The lodge then entertained members of Cleveland, Wildey, and Rabini lodges and friends with a social evening. Bellevue Lodge, No. 126, 1.0.0. F., N;Z., Lower Hutt, held its fortnightly meeting last Week, Bro. C. Orr. N.G., presiding. There waa a good attendance, and after conducting business, the evening was spent in harmony. The fortnightly meeting of 0-Klwl-IU Rebekah Lodge, No. 44, 1.0.0. F., N.Z., Eastbourne, was held last week, Sister O. C. Jones, N. 0., presiding. After disposing of business, the evening was spent with a euchre tournament; Rose of Wellington, Rebekah Lodge, No. 39, 1.0.0. F., N;Z., held its fortnightly meeting last week, Sister E. Wheeler, N.G., presiding over a good attendance. Three lady candidates and one brother were initiated into, the Re--bekah degree. Two further lady candidates were'nominated. The lodge then entertained members of Wellesley Juvenile Lodge with games and music, a pleasant, time being spent. Bro. H. Woolcott won chalking the pig's eye competition. •;'■■ The fortnightly meeting of Star of Petone Rebekah Lodge, No. 46, 1.0.0. F., N.Z., was held last week, Sister A. Parry, N.G., presiding. There was a good attendance, Bro. C. Havill, P. 0., Wildey Lodge, also being present. One lady candidate wag nominated It was decided to make an official visit to O-Kiwl-Iti Rebekah Lodge, and.reports were received from medical and picnic committees'delegates. Cleveland Lodge, No. IS, 1.0.0. F., N.Z., Brooklyn,' held ita fortnightly meeting last Wednesday evening, Bro. B. Mason, N.G., presiding. ~ There was a good attendance, visitors inelnding Bros. J. H. West,' P. 0., District Degree Master, J. Nlnd, P.0.P.C.P., D.D.O. Marshal, E. D. Wallit, P. 0., Zealandia Lodge, and Bro. A. H. Hancox and officers of Muritai Lodge, on ah official visit. In ad;.t'«n to general business, two candidates were elected and' initiated, and reports were received from the Christmas Tree Committee and delegates on Medical and Picnic Committees: The fortnightly meeting of I ahiri Rebekah Lodge, No. 49, 1.0.0. F., N.Z., Miramar, was held last Wednesday evening. Sister M. Sergent; N.G., presiding. There was a large attendance. Four lady candidate* wore nominated, several entries were made tor-the district ritual competition, and reports were received from the basaar committee, ami medical and picnic delegates. The evening waa concluded with a "Sing, Say, or Pay.". Zealandia Lodge, No. 48,1.0.0 P., N.Z., Newtown, held its fortnightly meeting last Thurs-' day evening, Bro, A. J. Aszato. N.G.; presiding There was a good attendance of member's arid visitors, Including District Deputy Grand Master (Bro. H. Dalnes, P. 0.) and District Lodge officers on an official visit. . Two candidates were Initiated, a challenge from neretaunga Lodge to a membership competition was accepted, and it was decided to return tlii official visit at next meeting of District Lo<tae. The fortnightly meeting of Heretaunga Lodge. 1 N0.'115, 1.0-0. F., N Z., Petone, was held last Thursday evening. Bro. G. n. Bugg, N. 0., presiding There was a good attendance. Quarterly accounts were passed, one member was granted a transfer, and another was admitted ion transfer Reports were, received from the Christmas Tree Committee and' delegates on Medical and Picnic Committees. .One candidate was nominated. Onslow Lodge, No. 128, 1.0.0.F.. N.Z., Khandallah, held its fortnightly meeting last Thursday evening, Bro. W; H. Kde, N.G., presiding. There was a good attendance, Bro. F. J. Jones, P. 0., District Treasurer, also being present. Arrangements were made for an en-' tertainment at Ngaio, and Bro. Jones ; gave a resume of recent meetings of the District Medical and annual Picnic Committees.
